Job Summary The Patient Financial Services team member is responsible for the accurate and timely collection of receivables, which contributes to strong clinic cash flow, high levels of patient satisfaction and a professional work environment. This member is a liaison between patient, doctor team and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate revenue cycle processes from registration through payment posting
• Obtain all necessary patient information to establish an account
• Obtain payment for services rendered
• Verify dental and medical insurance
• Create an accurate estimate, set up contracts, submit pre-authorization and follow-up
• Consult with the patient on financial matters: payment options and CarePlus insurance
• Process adjustments, post payments, close batches, reports
• Resolve and document patient complaints and grievances

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school or equivalent
• 2 + years of dental, collection, insurance, healthcare or similarly fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and ability to positively resolve conflict
• Strong mathematical stills and ability to accurately work with finances
• Technologically savvy, ability to work with several computer applications simultaneously
• Applicants may be required to obtain their Wisconsin accident and health intermediary license within six months of employment
