Responsibilities & Requirements


Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm & Friday 7:30am-1:30pm
Total Hours: 40


The Credentialing Assistant supports the credentialing team in administrative and general communications so the department functions in an efficient and effective manner.


  • Accurately enters provider information on applications and into credentialing software system
  • Sends provider or payer mailings
  • Follows up with providers, staff or customers
  • Scan documents
  • Creates and maintains credentialing files for all dentists and hygienists
  • Maintains shared department files so they are accurate and easy to access
  • Schedules meetings and publishes notes
  • Tracks deadlines to ensure credentialing and privileging are timely and accurate
  • Produces daily, weekly and monthly reports accurately and on schedule
  • Sorts mail for new provider contracts
  • Provides general administrative support for the credentialing team, such as proofing letters and formatting documents
  • Distributes weekly reports



  • High school diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary education preferred
  • Minimum of two years of administrative experience
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to handle confidential information in a sensitive manner
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various situations
  • Ability to multi-task and work through tasks in a timely, accurate manner
