Responsibilities & Requirements

Job Summary


The Patient Financial Services department consists of a variety of teams that carries out revenue cycle operations and supports Dental Associates’ 14 clinics. Their tasks include functions such as verifying insurance plans, submitting and following up on claims to insurance, posting payments, and answering calls from patients regarding their accounts and balances. Below you will find an overview of the Accounts Receivables position and the corresponding job duties.


Accounts Receivables Job Duties:

  • Submit claims to dental and medical insurance companies; electronically or by mail
  • Following up on claims via phone or insurance websites
  • Submit appeals when necessary
  • Ensure proper benefits are being applied
  • Utilize customer service skills to answer phone calls, emails, and messages from internal customers



  • Minimum of a high school or equivalent
  • 2 + years of dental, collection, insurance, healthcare or similarly fast-paced, customer-focused environment is preferred 
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written) and ability to positively resolve conflict
  • Strong mathematical stills and ability to accurately work with finances
  • Technologically savvy, ability to work with several computer applications simultaneously
  • Applicants may be required to obtain their Wisconsin accident and health intermediary license within six months of employment
